I assume you are wanting to play off the orange note in Terre de Hermes with the Mandarin. It will be ok for that but it is not a strong orange note as you might think it would be with the Mandarin name.
To be honest, I like the idea of the mandarin scent as a mandarin scent, rather than any orange tones. The Hermes scent has got citrus notes of grapefruit and bergamont, as well as pepper and other spices, so I just thought that mandarin might go well with it.

I checked out the review. It seems a little thin.... one review only can't be very accurate IMHO.

Oh no, not another soap. You guys are killing me. Sooner or later, you know I'm just going to end up getting the AoS, eShave and a Harris soap!!

Seriously though, I have been in the Harris shop a couple of times and smelt their soaps. They seem OK, remind me of the wool fat slightly (which caused my face to tighten up!). Neither Arlington or Marlborough seemed very scented at all. Now, this could be because they've been on display there since all time began, but I'm not sure I can try these without buying an entire puck!

Scent wise, AdP is awesome and performance wise Trumper's Rose seems feels great for me. I wouldn't change it. However, I had a nasty thought earlier in the week. I got my Rose soap in 2006, have since thrown the packaging away and have a feeling it could be the old formulation that I'm in love with....
