Thread: Czech & Speake

I've been meaning to post about Czech & Speake shaving soap for some time now. I popped into their Jermyn Street store recently and found out that they no longer do the larger soap dish that can hold the 90g soap, although they are still doing the refills (£20 each).

The newer, 'travel' dishes are not available separately, come with a very small badger brush (albeit with a nice handle, just like the dish). Soap sizes are 25g each and can be purchased in sets of three.

What do people make of this soap? The travel sizes might be good, but I don't think you can purchase on its own. Can anyone who's tried it/owns it comment on if it's worth jsut getting a puck of the 90g soap, without the dish (tempting as it looks)? What after shave / balm do people use with the soap?

Bjuying it in the three small pucks, or in the one 90g puck works out to be the same $$ per gram, so whatever way you go it's all the same.


I have yet to purchase it myself, though...

Bummer . Would be nice if you could just try soaps before buying them!
