Not sure if this is the right place... face soap
Not a puck for building lather but a soap or conditioner for using in the shower before shaving. My technique is to prep everything first (strop, put brush in hot water to soak, etc) and jump in the shower. While I'm in I wash my face (twice... first thing and last thing) while giving it a good massage at the same time.
Anyway, my question was. What is a good soap to use for that. Just using the body wash now but a good aloe or other type conditioning soap would be better I'm sure. Something all natural that doesn't leave any film or scum behind.
Already getting the hang of the whole straight razor shaving thing (sorta anyway) but want to make the experience as pleasant and trouble free as possible.

I got a bar of this Clinique face soap for men as a gift and the stuff was wonderful.

Thanks for the tips. I've actually used Clinique products in the past (my mom sold them when I was growing up so they were always all over) and liked them so might have to check that soap out. I guess it is time to browse the Health and Beauty isle for some ideas.

One other thing that you might look into is Coleen's bath soaps. She is well known on the forum for her shaving soaps but she also makes regular wash your self soap. I have tried some samples and they were very good. The bay rum and orange was one I liked particularly. Here is her website.
