    Question Has anyone used...

...Geo F Trumpers, Coconut Oil shaving soap or cream? What was your impression? Smell, latherabilty, shave quality, etc. I have too much counter space and want to start filling it up with more soaps and creams for the rotation.

I tried Trumpers once. Traded it for Colleen's TGQ soap.

Trumpers, just did not have a good feel for me. Did not like its qualities when compared to Colleen's stuff. YMMV

Coconut is the best that Trumper's has to offer in both soap and cream, IMO. I'm not a huge fan of Trumper's but the Coconut is a big exception. Both the soap and cream are AAA. The coconut scent is not too strong, but it's still there and is pleasant. Lather really explodes with this stuff. It's much slicker than most and the shave is very comfortable. Superb moisturizing, too. Really top-shelf stuff.

I've got a GFT Almond cake, used it 3X, looking to get rid of it. To each his own, just not my cup of tea.

This is why the choice of soaps is such a personal preference. Another member here recently introduced me to Trumper's soaps. I tried one of them but unfortunately, not the coconut. I must say that I am completely satisfied with the results. The lather is superb, having both extreme cushion and glide. It seems like you could build an infinite amount of excellent lather with only a bit of soap. Definitely one of the best performers I have tried so far. Moreover, it does not dry my face out like other soaps/creams. DISCLAIMER: I have noticed that now that it is getting warmer and with the increase in humidity, soaps that made my skin scream during the winter, are now tolerable, and some do not bother me at all, Probably the weakest point with this soap is the scent, I do not think that I would score this soap high on the fragrance. However, unless the scent contains some ingredient that is good for the skin, I prefer my soaps low on fragrance so for me this is not a big problem. I understand that for some people, the fragrance is very important. Without trying to take over the original question, I would be interested in learning why the experience of others with Trumper's is not favorable. I would rate this soap high.

Haven't tried that yet - started through some others in testing then my wife saw the Wool Fat, smelled it, lked the scent and after she asked me to lather up her legs for a shave - well - I'm a Wool fat guy now :-)

The scent is real subtle and of natural coconut. It sort of lingers on the skin, the lather compares to that of T&H in my opinion.

I bought mine a while back to have as a summer scent. I find it to be a great cream when Im in the mood for it.

I haven't used the GFT Coconut, but love the Sandalwood. I shaved with it today.
