Thanked: 29To buy cream or soap
Hi,
My first purchase was the AOS lemon starter kit. At first I hated the scent but it quickly grew on me. I used up the tube of cream and then bought some of the Bath and Body Works stuff. It lathers ok and smells horrible(will not grow on me). I have noticed more irritation since I started using it. I am unsure if it is the cream, cream in general, or the closness of the shave. The razor is sharper today than when I was using the AOS stuff but I did not seem to have this issue with it.
So I am considering replacing the cream I have but am not sure if I should buy a big tub of AOS or buy soap. I have read a lot of information from old posts but still am not sure which way to go. Here are the things I am wondering about. Can some more experienced people post which goes to which and by how large of a margin?
Slip
Cusion
Least drying
Easiest lather
Longest lasting(ounce for ounce)
The AOS cream was very dense and felt really good. The proraso feels more like areosol type cream on my face. I haven't tried a soap yet but am worried about drying and irritation.

Thanked: 1903Read the review section (bit sparse at the moment) and get some samples before you buy. Especially if you are looking at upmarket creams like AOS or Castle Forbes.

There is no use of "OR" in this hobby, only "AND" as in, buy soaps and creams.
