I'm 20 and have Taylor of old bond street's lavender soap. I also have st. James shaving cream in a jar and they smells great. They don't have a grandpa smell to them like some other soaps/creams do. I give them 10 out of 10, I love them so much that i got the lavender splash and the st. James a/s and cologne. I'm having great luck with ToOBS products

Thanked: 363I agree somewhat
Octopus, I totally agree with you when it comes it Bay Rum, I've smelled a few and they all smell insidious to me, just down right evil. My wife says it smells like old Christmas decorations mixed with mothballs left for a year, I have to agree with her on that one. I've never tried Erasmic, people seem to rave about it, sounds awful from what you've described. Valobra to me seemed way to gross and slipshod in the packaging to even give it try, comes in a bar shap wraped in paper yet it's creamy=gross to me, like an old cheese/mayonaise sandwhich. I have QED's Fresh Lime, and its great smelling, sadly the lather sucks. I cant get it to ever lather more then a liquidy lather, so what I do now is I add hot water to it, let it soaked for a few then pour the extract into my Cryil Salter's Essential Lime or TOB's Lemon/Lime shave creams to give it a boost, otherwise it's useless on its own.
i think originall i thought the mamabears were disgusting, but after smelling these
Octopus, I have a few reccominedations of creams and soaps you might like.
1. Geo Trumper's Coconut ( very subtle scent, not over powering) The lather is nuts.
2. Crab Tree and Evelyn's West Indian Sandalwood....blows any other sandalwood scent away by miles n miles.
3. Speick. Lovely clean fresh/woodsy scent. Not comparable to anything, but amazingly clean smelling.
4. Classic Shaving's Violet soap. very nice floral scent ( if you like florals) if not it's understandable, not for everyone.
5. Cryil Salter's Essential Lime. very light lime scent, almost likelime sherbet.
6. LAST and DEFINITELY NOT LEAST... CLEAR SKIES...MAMA BEAR....
Amazing scent, clean, fresh, with a hint of relaxing rosemary mixed in. I couldn't reccmoned a soap more, and for 8 bucks, you can't beat it.The lather is out of this world.
ok enough from me
Cheers
D

Avast Chaddy! Glad ta see another shaver with a pirate flare. I get mine from some real life revolutionary relatives. They started as privateers but...you know how things go. Arrg
Anyway, I am either easy to please, have found what I like, or just haven't tried that many. In my bowl is one of Burts Bees glycerine shave soaps and in my travel gear is Col Conk's bay rum (very light). I really like a neutral or light fragrance in my soap as I prefer to vary my cologne use and don't not want a conflict.
