    Default Menthol Oil?

I have finally managed to get my soap to a good compromise between thick lather and slickness...

But.. I would like to add some menthol oil to give it that menthol kick.

Would menthol oil be the correct thing to use for this?

btw.. When i say "make soap". I am using the jockey's method.

I have seen menthol oil on the internet. If you search for it, you should get several sites that offer it. I however have no experience using it.

I'm not familiar with Jockey's method, but I use Osage Rub when I want to add menthol kick to my lather. I squirt a little bit of Osage Rub into the bowl before I start to make lather, essentially substituting a little of the vile green juice in place of adding water.

I've also used a couple of drops in the palm before adding my AS. You think Aqua Velva, Proraso AS has menthol? Add A little Osage Rub with it

I recently purchased a bag of menthol crystals (from the net) and added a small amount to some of my alcohol-based items (witch hazel, Proraso AS splash, etc.) Definitely kicks things up a notch. (I'm no chemist, so I can't tell you what liquids will dissolve the menthol and which won't.) Although the "coldest" product I have is a bottle of Mama Bear's peppermint after shave which she juiced up for me with extra, extra menthol. Leaves my Osage Rub in the dust, it's that cool...
