    Default A good uber lather

Most of my creams and soaps have developed a layer of dust from sitting on the shelf. Even though the smell of it makes me gag, I just can't stop using Tabac. It's shaving comfort has yet to be equaled by any of the soaps/creams I have. Mitchell's Woolfat soap comes close, but it dries out very fast in the desert climate here.

Yesterday I decided it was time to blow the dust off of a couple products and make an uber lather, as I had just read Glen's Uber Lather Wiki page for the 100th time.

I decided on Penhaligons Blenheim Bouqet for the cream, and Mitchell's Woolfat for the soap.

This combination exploded in the bowl to the richest, creamiest, slickest lather I'd ever felt. And the smell was out of this world. The scent of Blenheim Bouqet and Mitchell's Wool Fat is just wonderful.

The shave was fantastic. Every bit as comfortable as Tabac, without the gagging smell.

I just wish the Blenheim Bouqet was affordable enough to make this a daily uber lather. Ah well, it's still fun for an occasional treat.

Making Überlather - Straight Razor Place Wiki is indeed one of the most helpful articles ever. Thanks, Glen!

Try La Toja shave cream with Mitchell's Wool Fat. It is awesome! You can find it at The Vintage Scent Co.. It's almost addictive!

Sounds very nice... It's looking like MWF, with it's light scent and great shaving properties, is a good base for any uber lather... just change the cream!

That is exactly what I have found. The MWF doesn't have any aroma at all for my schnoz and really enhances the creams I've used it with. The only cream that works for me by itself is the Castle Forbes.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

i found the La Toja cream to be a good 'stabilizer' or for making uberlather.
