Trumper's Creme
Hey guys!
I just got a ton of samples from Trumper. Help me with this pole because I am overwhelmed with new products and what to find out what is being liked and used.
Thanks!

definitely lime for me--subtle, but you know that when your wife is drawn to it (after 14 years of marriage  ) you have a winner!

Thanked: 1They are all good. I too have had a sample of each and loved the smell of the lime and the coconut. You need to know your skin type. If you look at www.mankind.co.uk you can learn about skin types.
The lime works best for oily skin.
The coconut and almond oil for dry skin.
The rose and violet (lavender from some makers) for sensitive skin.
Finally rosewood for normal skin.
They are all luxurious and all use glycerin to allow the blade to gluide easily accross the skin surface. In the winter, I get dry skin and have used the almond oil. This coming winter I'll switch to coconut. In the summer I use sandlewood. I think Trumpers Sandlewood cream is the standard against which all other shaving products should be judged if you use a DE or straight razor. I've used Crabtree and Evely's almond cream for many years and for me it is not quite as good as Trumpers cream. I have used Taylor's sandlewood cream and found it would dry out before I could finish a shave. I accept that many other users love the stuff. I wonder if it depends on the hardness of the water in your area.
I think creams give a better all round shave than soaps and I have found that I get less usage out of razor blades when I use soap. But I have enjoyed all the products I have used to date without exception and find even the "expensive" products have given value for money as a little usually goes a long way. Enjoy your sampling.

Where can I order some Trumpers cream and/or hard soap that will ship internationally. Trumpers in Britain want an arm and a leg to send it overseas to Asia.

Or email Trumper with the question where in Asia it might be obtained.
Good luck.

I used the rose shaving creme this morning folled by the Coral Skin Food, followed by GFT cologne. Shaving heaven! Nice floral scent today. Makes me proud to be a straight razor shaver.

OK I tried the coconut twice. I am not a fan of it. It seems to dry too quickly, as a matter of fact it doesn't seem wet enough to begin with. Get this, it's happened twice...this stuff got so dry on my face that it was blowing away! I saw this little white fuzz stuff floating around my head, and noticed it was floating off the blade with my movements. THAT'S DRY! I don't know, I got a bunch of samples from Trumper, and they're enough for about 2 shaves each, and the coconut is the first I tried. It's possible it could've dried out somewhat before I got it. I finished the shave with my Taylors lavendar soap and it felt like heaven after that. I'm gonna try the others though and see what happens. I Their cologne scents are nice. To be fair, this is the first time I've tried a cream. I enjoy whipping up a nice lather in a bowl or mug rather than actually on my face, so my technique could be the culprit.
