Shave cream emergency or will it all be ok?
I just got my saint charles shave coconut shave cream today. i opened the package and put it in the bathroom then went to work. Well, when i got home i opened the jar and pulled off the seal, which came off kinda abruptly and about 1/4 of the melted shave cream spilled onto my counter. i managed to get most of it back in the jar. I put the top back on it washed off the jar and put it in the fridge. My question is will a little bit of time in the fridge bring it back to a cream or is it pretty much ruined and will i just have to wait for the devils armpit of NC to cool down before trying to get some more? Thanks for any help.

It should be ok, Heat can effect the consistency of the product, but not the effectiveness. Unless there is funny color stuff showing up in it. But I am sure there was a preservative added to it to prevent that issue

Thanked: 488It should work fine. There are several types of soaps that melt in the mail this hot time of the year. You did what most of us do when that happens.

If the cream just melted, as other have said already, it is going to be ok. However, if the cream separated like a vinaigrette, which often happens, you may have to mix it (whip it) before you cool it. Hopefully this is not the case.

Thanked: 7Heat can most definitely affect the composition of some creams. Cooling them down and even keeping them in cool or cooler surroundings helps rather than hurts.
