    Angry Trumper

I really dig the Geo F Trumper concept.Old english traditions and soforth..
The thing is tough, I'm not able to get this soap or cream to work!
I have the coconut soap, and like the smell, but the lather really really sucks! I mostly use tabac nowadays(That soap is seriously underrated!)
It's so easy to get a rich and lasting lather in seconds straight from the brush. But with my trumper stuff??? I get great lather with every other brand I've tried, and I've tried a few..
Anyone else have the same problem?

I have only used Trumper's cremes, Kristoffer, not
their soaps -- but I can say that the cremes do work
very well. I also like Taylor's cremes a lot, but their
    soaps do nothing for me.

I see, I find the trumper lather to be of to light a context for my liking. It also dries up really fast.Or it could be just me
Anyways, got a full sampler of trufit and hill stuff (creames, lotions and colognes.) coming my way.WHOHOO!!!

I get excellent results from my puck of Trumpers Coconut but it does take a little longer to load the brush than Tabac.

Vior, is this the old tallow formula you got from Jim????

My Trumpers coconut oil soap(new tallow-less formula) leaves a lot to be desired, and not one of my favorite soaps?

I love trumper its my favorite no matter the scent. If you are having trouble with the Trumpers its not the soap. Maybe your water? Either that or you need to play around with the water ratio you are using. I get the thickest most luxuriant lather from the soap.

    Default Trumper

    Gentlemen,

I must agree with our moderator about the lather quality of the Trumper shave cream. External variables must get in the way of making luxurious lather, the water being one. The best answer is to keep trying, because this is good stuff.

Yes, but I also have a puck each of the sandalwood and limes from the new formula, and the only noticeable difference I can tell is that the coconut is more moisturizing.

This is usually a pretty clear indication: not enough water, not enough lathering work, or both.

I'm about to fire up a little cream review ... but one thing I notice that no one does seem to mention is the Water quality in there area ..
The waster in scotland is soft and of excellent quality , idea for lather .. whereas the water in England/ London is hard and prone to limescale deposits which makes it harder to create a lather..
IMHO a huge factor to condsider

    just something to consider

    Cheers Garry
