Thumbs up Taylor of Old Bond Street

I have tried the Taylor of Old Bond Street soap Vs. classic shavings sandlewood soap. Taylor of Bond Street wins hands down. Much thicker later, stronger scent. Of course it is more money but I think well worth it.
    What do you think?

    Hi Rich,

I also like the Taylor of Old Bond Street hard milled soaps, but I also enjoy using Ray's glycerine based soaps as well. I prefer the aroma of Ray's Sandalwood soap over the former which has some other scents mixed in it. On the other hand, the Taylor soap cakes do offer a thicker lather, or more accurately speaking, I find it easier to make a thicker lather using the Taylor brand than the classicshaving soaps.

    Thumbs up

    Hal,

I think my father used to use the Taylor of Old Bond Street. That is probably why I like the scent better. You know fond memories of someone not around to chat with anymore. I am using his shaving brush which is alot better than the one I bought myself and its about 45 years old. I bet he's sitting up there lhao whenever I shave with a str8.

Ooops! When I hit the Poll I thought you were talking about shaving cream. I love the Eton College. I've been using some Caswell Massey Sandlewood Shave Soap, but my lathering technique sucks. Maybe I'll give Taylor soaps a try.
