    Default Origins "BLADE RUNNER"

I was walking about the other day and stopped into Origins for some odd reason. I asked if they had shave cream. The lady said that they did; It is brushless and to be honest it clogs your razor so you have to rinse it often.

I looked at her and smiled and said if my razor clogs, I'll be surprised. I use a straight razor.

She hand me a free sample and I put some on my hands before I left to see how thick it was. It was thick, very thick.

I did a just a quick evaluative shave this morning with a str8 and I will continue to evaluate this until I post a review.

The evaluative shave went well. The cream was thick unlike Burts Bees. It goes on like a lotion and DOES NOT FADE. It shaved really well for 1/2 days growth.

The smell is a bit medicinal. Peppermint and something else. The smell is not unpleasant and fades quickly.

Over the next couple of weeks I will shave with a str8 with more growth, a SE, and a wedge type safety razor. That should give me a good enough review.

First impression is positive though and hell the name alone is cool.

No this is not a thread about a prequel to Blade Runner.

sounds interesting, I love the feel of a brush on my face but I will admit that mixing isn't my favorite part of wetshaving.Do you think you could apply it w/ a brush or is it to...uhhh creamy? How much did it cost?

What is a wedge type safety razor?

and yes the name is cool and yes I too wished (even though common sense said nay) it to be a new movie.

side note- for some reason whenever I hear "blade runner" I think of "sling blade" first I don't know why.

Here is the skinny. I will post a formal review.

It worked OK on a WTG. However on the ATG it did not feel as good. The burn/irritation was minimal as my Alum block told me so.

The smell is something like plaster patch. You have to apply it twice, which can be a pain.

All in all it is a mixed review. I did not have enough to try the wedge type safety razor. Just the Schick and the 1/2 hollow.

It worked ok on an SE, but my face is so used to a str8 that I can't shave with an SE anymore.

Price, pretty cheap. I think the tube is $15 and then they sell a jar which is not on the website, I do not have a price for that.

I got my sample for free.
