Vulfix Sandalwood Luxury Shaving Cream
I recently received from Ray's on-line shop, (classicshaving.com) some Vulfix Sandalwood cream and I must say that using it has added a whole new dimension to the pleasures of shaving with a straight. This Vulfix luxury cream offers superlative quality lather, providing me with a new benchmark by which to gauge my skills. The increased enjoyment offered by these higher end creams (and soaps) is also matched by a better quality shave.

This has been my experience exactly. Nothing I have tried so far compares to the Vulvix Lavendar or Sandalwood creams. I really do get a better shave with this stuff. Amazing!

Hi Korndog,
Yeah, great stuff. After I've finished up with the Vulfix, I think I'm going to try some other English creams like Trumper's or Taylors to see how they compare. Have you tried any of these?

Thanked: 4I got my Trumper's samples last week. Pretty good since I requested them two weeks ago. Six teeny jars of shaving cream and two different bottles of skin food. Tried the coconut cream this morning, and it was impressive. Great lathering and lubrication. I think I can get about five shaves out of each sample, I hope. I got an immediate reply from the [email protected] address stating they were out of samples, and here they are. Trying all these is going to be fun!

I've used the Vilfux creames as well as the trumpers hard soaps as well as the taylor creams and they are all excellent. I prefer the scent of the trumpers hard soaps as I think they are very natural smelling while to me the Vilfux is more artificial smelling. The taylor creams are denser than the Vilfux. I think in general the creams give a better shave than the soaps do. But in the end they are all great.

If you're looking for an incredible sandalwood scent, give QED's soap a try (you'll find them under 'Other Products'). If creams are your thing then check out Crabtree & Evelyn's Sandalwood shaving cream - it's the only single note sandalwood cream that I'm aware of. I'll follow up either with C&E's after shave balm and then their cologne. The fragrance of single note sandalwood is invigorating!

Thanks for your recommendation Rik. I understand QED are glycerine based soaps. Sure would be nice to have a real authentic sandalwood scent, will give their creams a try. And, now you had to mention those fine C & E products. Sigh! Where will this end?
