Thanked: 21Haslinger Aloe
I needed to add $8 to an order to get the free shipping, so I added a puck of Haslinger Aloe Vera shave soap to my last order. Tried it tonight for the first time. Very slick, but I can't seem to get any real body in the lather. I'm gonna play around with it a few more times, but at this rate it might end up being used as a body soap in the bath. Too bad. It has a very nice, very mild scent that I really like.

I have been using haslinger for years now. They have several varieties and as I recall there is one (I don't remember which) that does not lather good. Its one of the blue ones. The others are all great.

I've been using the Hasslinger Honey for a long time now and in terms of performance it's a notch higher then Tabac which i also use and love.
The one I'm using is tallow based hence the better performance I suspect.

The scent is very subtle. Not overpowering at all. There's a nice and sweet hint of honey. Where the soap really tops out is with lathering. A nice thick creamy lather with a very good cushioning. It's a little puck but performs extremely well. When I got my first puck of Hasslinger it was the honey one. I was so impressed and satisfied with it I continued buying the honey version and never bothered to even try the other scents. Why change a winning horse.
I have more than a handful of favorite soaps. Hasslinger honey is one of them.

Thanked: 21Well, I've been playing with the aloe, and my opinion has completely changed. I've been using MWF for a bit and had forgotten how much more water it takes than the other soaps I had used prior.
Going with less water definitely made a huge difference with the Haslinger. Also, I've recently figured out that swirling the brush in my left hand where the fingers meet the palm and building up lather there does a much better job than either on the face or in a mug.
All in all, I am really impressed with this soap. Very thick, huge cushion, nice slickness. I went with the aloe, because I have sensitive skin issues. Next time I order, I will be getting another puck. Might throw in a puck of the honey as well just to see.
