SRD Patchouli shaving soap
Hi everyone,
A friend bought me some SRD Patchouli shaving soap and I thought I'd share my impressions (not meant to be a comprehensive review) after using it exclusively for a few weeks.
My first impression was that the smell is nice, not overpowering but pleasantly present. I decided to use my boar brush while trying this soap out because sometimes I feel like the badger brushes lather almost anything and I wanted to give it a test.
This soap lathered up really well in the bowl and on the face. For some reason I liked the face lathering a bit better, but honestly there probably wasn't a big difference.
The soap gave me really good protection and lubrication for my shave. I don't really know what to say about this, but with the combination of a sharp sheffield edge and this soap, I barely felt my shave at all. I am a huge fan of TGQ soaps, but this SRD soap is right up there for me. If you are considering giving it a go, you will not be disappointed.

My particular experience with scent was not as good. It smelled like straight up rubber. As always with scent YMMV. I also got a bit of skin burning from this one. I'll take TGQ Desert Ironwood any day over this.

I must respectfully disagree on both accounts, but thanks for sharing
