    Default Pre-shave

Thanks, Rich. I've used Cremo Cream as shave cream alone before when I was a M3er but never since I've been shaving with a straight. I got a good shave using it, though. I'm going to buy a tube and use it as a pre-shave under my Trumpers cream.

I seem to get a really comfortable shave when I use the KoS shave oil so I'm anxious to see how it is with the Cremo under the lather.

Never tried the Feather stuff, but the Cremo I like. I first tried it under other creams as Rich suggested some time ago, but couldn't tell much difference. Then I tried it without a brush as a standalone cream as CREMO suggested. Didn't like that. I had to use way too much to get the desired coverage. Then I tried whipping it up with a brush as a standalone cream and THAT I like. It behaves a little differently than any other cream I've tried, as far as building a lather goes, but I've found using a bit wetter brush and a little extra time whipping it make for a GREAT shave. All by itself. It seems thick out of the tube and a little goes a long way for me. Doesn't dry out, stays slippery, and doesn't irritate. Well unless you count that pina colada smell making you jones for a cocktail.....................................Jeff

i have found that preshave oils do not work any better for me than not having them. have not tried the cremo cream. did try using a CUBE, per charles roberts, and some shave cream, but no better than shave cream alone. what does work is when i use a QED shave stick for touch up and dont lather it. kinda like i guess using jojoba oil but not as messy. the shave stick is super slick and kinda coats the face and i can make repeated quick passes over the same area without irritation
