Question Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn or Aloe Vera?

Which of these two soaps would you choose and why? I have tried the Aloe only once but was put off by a badly-smelling brush that I used to lather it.

I have cream samples of both and to be honest both seem great - the Sea Buckthorn smells very good, as does the Aloe but the latter had the addition of being perfect for sensitive skin.

The ocean algae is my favourite but I don't think it's available anymore from Edwin / Meuhle.

I have only tried the Aloe and was seriously disappointed after paying, I think it was close to $10 for the puck. Used it once and passed it on!

I have and use both and they make great lather and when I take time shaving, and want to enjoy the scent, I use the Sea Buckthorn but for everyday use my skin prefers the Aloe.

Edit: Voted for the Sea Buckthorn since I would use that if I didn't have sensitive and somewhat dry skin now in the winter.

    Thumbs up

I live in a veryhard water area & I use the aloe vera soap a lot. I build the lather directly on the puck using a wet brush & I find it has excellent lubricating & moisturising properties . This is the soap I will be using the most this winter .
    Cheers Paul
