It isn't a soap, but I have some 444 that I think is Italian and I enjoy. It is a post shave balm with a nice cooling menthol feel.

Thanks for the tip, but what I really wanted to know was if anyone here could recomend a place to buy this stuff (proraso, cella, p160 and others) in Rome.

    Try this little lot:

Also, go to Piazza Trilussa one evening. Theres a few great little restaurants around there. They're half the price of the tourist traps and the food is miles better..!

I found Proraso soaps in a grocery store in Rome. I believe it was a Spar chain store.

I just spent 15 minutes on google maps looking for the shop I went into in Rome. They had straight razors, an entire wall of aftershaves, soaps, etc.

I can't remember the name of it "Misto" or "Mixto" or something like that. It was on the way (walking) from Termini to Fontana Trevi.

I'll let you know if I can think of it.

I picked up a bottle of Blue Floid when I was there.

    Found this place in rome:

Beauty-shopping.it : Vendita prodotti professionali per parrucchieri ed estetiste, 3VE, Maestri, Acca Kappa, Allegretti, Calmar, Clarissa Nails, En Vogue Nails Europe, Clairol, Matrix, Parlux,

It's not downtown, but it's the only place I've found looking on the Net.

If anyone remembers something closer to the center of the town, please post here!
    Thanks!
