Thanked: 8Jdx,
I know this is an old thread but I came across it and thought I should chime in.
Surprisingly, bath and body works in most malls, (yea your girls smelly good store) carries C.O.BIGELOW SHAVE CREAM, it is excellent and made in Italy by parosso! Rebranded I guess. Anyway. Really nice lather and only 5$!!!

I use it daily with soap and glycerin to make über lather. It also is available in larger $ 10 tubes. Don't miss the frequent buy two get one free sales.

Thanked: 8Sheajohnw,
What do you mean you use it with soap and glycerin?

In a bowl or scuttle, add 5 drops of glycerin and a dab of cream (think toothpaste). Load your wet brush with soap from a puck etc. and whip up lather in the bowl. Add small amounts of water using your brush tip, if needed. Lather tends to thicken and dry so you may need to rehydrate and remix. I frequently reapply lather to ensure that the hairs are kept wet for easy cutting. I have had good results using Tabac, Cella, ProRaso, Mitchel's Wool Fat and others soaps.
Soaps can be hard to source locally. I see Williams and VDH in drug stores and supermarkets. There is AOS in some malls for more $. Mail order online is OK if you need enough shaving product to get free shipping.
Check out posts and videos by gssixgun also in Idaho. He is a great resource.
