Default AOS soap x CADE soap

What do you prefer, AOS soap or CADE soap? How long a puck of each last?

Dont know about the AOS soap, but Ive got some of their cream and it lasts ages. I bought some 3 months ago and it hardly looks touched.

How long a soap lasts? How long is a piece of string?

How often you shave, how many passes, how many soaps in your rotation, etc

I don't have any AoS soap, but CADE is among my favorites and is in my regular rotation. I'd be surprised if AoS came out on top.

I'll have to try some out.

both are great soaps, both should last a long time because they are hard and I think tripple milled.

But they are very different animals. CADE is veggie oil, and juniper scented. AOS is tallow, and EO scented (depending on which EO flavor you choose).

Both both give very creamy, cushioning, close shaving lather.

Agreed. The Cade last in bit longer IMO and I like the scent a lot more. The latter is, again, totally subjective

I know itīs hard to tell how long a puck should last. But with everyday use will it last about how much time (1 month, 6 months, a year)?

I got a puck of Tabac that might as well be a hockey puck. The thing hasn't changed in size, short of wearing the logo off the top, in months. It doesn't see everyday use, but it's seen a whole hell of a lot of trips to the sink.

I imagine it depends on the brand and milling technique, but a puck should last you at least a couple months.

I havent tried tabac, but Ive got some Prorasso which has lasted well over a year and that is soft soap, not a puck as such. I used the Prorasso about once a week

i got my father in law a DRH Lavendar puck he uses probably 3/4 of the time, and it's been a year and he's only 1/2 way through it.

Tripple milled soap - a year I bet
Cold poured glycerine soap - 2 or 3 months probably.
