Thumbs up Castle Forbes shave cream

You guys must try the CF creams. I received a sample of each from CF awhile back and didn't have much luck with them. I think the samples may have melted, reset, froze, then melted again on their way to me. I have no idea, but they weren't very slick. Anyway, they were so thick and the smell was out of this world so I had to try again. I got a sample from a different source, straight out of a jar, and it's like night and day. They have essential lavender oil and essential lime oil varieties. I used the lavender today. Boy is this stuff thick. Consistency of peanut butter. The lather explodes with the brush though, and it lubed very well, lasted a long time, and I still had enough for probably 5 more passes when I was finished with my standard 3. Hated to rinse my bowl, but what the hell I'm going to have a couple of jars on the way for my stocking this year anyway. If you like lime, the CF cannot be beat IMO. If you like lavender, well it's different from any lavender I've ever smelled. A fellow over at SMF.com says it's real essential lavender oil that makes it smell so good, and the other stuff you see is perfumed. Whatever, this stuff is fantastic. Pricey, yes, but I think it will outlast a Trumper or the like tub because it's so concentrated. Anyway, thought you guys might want to know what I thought about it. Fantastic stuff for str8 shaving. ..................Jeff
