Default Al Raz, Magical water and Bombs

So, I've recently come into possession of a sample of The Bomb in Sage by Mr. Al Raz. Having heard many wonderful things about it, I decided I'd like to try it, even though I still have a day or two before I can shave.

So, Here's where things get different. I'm starting to think my Campus has MAGICAL tap water. I've never had a soap or cream I couldn't get into a voluminous, billowy lather. TGQ soap and cream, perfect, SRD Perfect, TOBS, perfect. I've never had a lathering issue. Ever.

    no complaints though

Anyways, The Bomb. I've heard that, after 3 minutes of whipping, or so, it blows up with mounds of lather.... I counted. 36 seconds of whipping, and a vintage Old Spice mug was literally full of lather. Filled to the brim with a little rolling over... I used a TINY DAB of The Bomb, I'd say the size of a pea, maybe smaller. Just scooped it out and tossed it in, put in a drizzle of campus-tapwater, and went at it with an Amazon (no name) Badger brush... 36 seconds later, the mug was full, and the lather was astoundingly slick, passed the 1" Test (and the 2" test O.O) and felt great... I can't wait to try this stuff on my face, but, Al Raz, you have a future customer... So many creams so little time.

Also, fun fact, when I was done playing with this stuff (It was AWESOME, you dip the brush into it, and the brush comes out with a 2-3 inch tall mohawk, and then you shake the brush, but the peaks and whips STAY. It's such a thick lather, and it doesn't dry out. I'm thouroughly impressed) I just ran some water in the cup to clean it out... At first, the water actually sat ON TOP OF the lather. The lather was thick enough to support a layer of water for a few seconds... Then it all started to break up and wash away. The really cool part was, once all of it had been washed out, I looked in my mug for any residue... There was a half a pea sized dab at the bottom of my mug.... I only lathered half a pea, and got enough lather to shave a dog... in three passes.

    Impressive!

So, Mr. Al Raz, Kudos for an amazing cream. You'll hear from me in the future, that's for sure. Mount Union, I like your water! and Mr. The Bomb... Sweet.

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

I am glad you liked The Bomb, thank you for your complements. I must point out is that only the dense version requires adjustments in lathering technique and a bit of experimentation, not sure which one you tried. I am curious about the water, do you care to disclose the source?

I just use water straight from the sink in my college bathroom. It's drinkable, but I usually run it through a brita filter for personal use. However, un-purified, it just produces astounding lather Also, I've never had any problems with my home water -which is very very soft water- so maybe I'm just lucky... However, I need to try the bomb with home water.

    And a boar brush.
