Thanked: 12Idea's needed
my dad taught me to shave on williams soap and a cheap wal mart brush. I have since moved on to silvertip brush and several different soaps and creams. So far I have sent to him a golden knot brush that I made, Tabac, and SRD's soaps. So what should I send to him next? He thinks I'm nuts for shaving with a straight so the razore is out,.....what do I send next?????

errnest,
Send your old man a nice DE razor (Merkur, Parker or Edwin Jagger)...Last edited by jhenry; 01-28-2010 at 09:07 PM.

A nice DE is indeed good, but if not that, you could spoil him with Castle Forbes cream. Awesome stuff!

Pre-shave oils. Balms. Or some skin food might be nice.

Ideas Needed
Hello, Errnest:
Here is a suggestion:
Send him a puck of Mitchell's Wool Fat shave soap, an Edwin Jagger 89L double edge razor, and a scuttle — for me, a large Moss scuttle — all packaged in a son's unbound love for the greatest father in the world.
Regards,
Obie

Thanked: 530For sure a DE, or a GTP G5 Scuttle... Or you can go for some big name cream/soap (Castle Forbes in cream, and Fitjar in soap, IMO).
Maybe quality cologne or aftershave? (Get him a JUMBO bottle of Ogallala! or maybe cologe by Truefitt and Hill [1805, personally]
Good luck, and good for you!
