Thread: The Bomb is... um... Da Bomb.

I'm a relative novice to shaving with a straight but am on the good end of the "steep learning curve" now, and have amassed a tidy little collection of gear, and am reaping the rewards of persistence. Shaving is now one of life's little pleasures that I wouldn't want to do without... which brings me to a few words of praise for Alraz and The Bomb.

I started with soap, gravitated towards tubed creams such as Proraso, Erasmic, and Speick (which I still enjoy) and finally dove off the deep end with a tub of Domenico Caraceni 1913 after reading BeBerlin's review. I lather in a large scuttle with a small Rooney style #3 pure badger.

Well, after reading all the hulabaloo here about The Bomb I knew I had to try it. Alraz was very responsive to my questions, I settled on Bay Rum and Sweet Neroli, and it arrived quickly along with a sample of ProBomb and a vial of Calypso (Bay Rum) aftershave.

AMAZING! The cream looks very, very close to the same appearance as DC 1913, which in itself speaks volumes as to the high quality. Lathering (and not using too much water initially) was exactly as described, and I had to use an alarmingly small amount of cream to generate an alarmingly large volume of super dense, super lubricating lather, seemingly the equal of the DC in performance to my untrained senses. In fact, I wiped the brush on the inside of the lid and got more than enough. This tub should last a loooong time. I have tried only the Calypso so far, but I expect the other scents to be equally amazing.

This stuff is an amazing value, and I highly recommend it. I will be a return customer. Thanks Al!

I agree with everything you said about The Bomb. I also got the Sweet Neroli and the Saigon just the other day. Plus a sample of the lavender and his private stock Calabria after shave. The scents are subtle and not too "over the top".
Performance is A#1. After smearing a little bit on the inside of my bowl, a damp Simpson Chubby#2 went to work. After a few seconds the stuff started to expand like some science experiment gone awry. AMAZING is the word. I use the MB products and have tried many others brands. ALRAZ's the BOMB is definelty part of my whisker arsenal.
