    Hiya,

I'd echo others who suggested MWF as a good soap for some skin related issues. Heh, long as you're not allergic to lanolin things will be fine. It's really a very nice soap.....mild, and the performance is very good.

What may be even a little better is the Institut Karite soap(not the cream so much). It's another very good performer when it comes to slick and cushion, with unusually good post shave skin care. Those two would be the best I've used so far, at least among the ones still being made.

One other suggestion would be to look at the soaps by www.Kellsoriginal.com. Dan is a small vendor who first starting offering his soaps about a year ago. He uses ingredients like hemp and aloe in his products, and these also offer excellent post shave skin care. Many members really like his stuff, and I personally found my face feeling great after shaving with his soap.

Those would probably be the places I'd start,

    Martin

I have tried a moisturizing aftershave and it helped a bit but my skin is still extremely dry. Would anyone have recomendations?

    Thanks
Shop about, if Proraso shave cream drys your skin a
post shave remedy does make sense. I can half understand
Williams as it is a classic soap. Me, I find Proraso to be non drying
the way Noxema is (have you tried Noxema 20 min after shaving?).

After looking at the Nivea products in the manly section wander
left or right of the mens section and look at Eucerin products.
Restrict yourself to the fragrance free versions.

As others have noted in the past on this list moisturizing is mostly
a matter of keeping moisture in not adding it.

Nivea for Men Sensitive Skin Aftershave Balm is my post shave
    "balm" of choice.

Add some glycerine to the mix while slathering. It helps and also reduces blade friction.

I have pretty dry and sensitive skin and I have found the following to be excellent in terms of skin conditioning/moisturizing properties:

    1) Al's "The Bomb" - probably the best skin conditioning shave cream/soap I have used

    2) A tie between Mitchell's Wool Fat and Fitjar's Shea Pleasure SC. Both are very good.
