Talking Tried Proraso for the first time

I just popped open my first tub of Proraso. Much thicker and richer than the Williams cup soap I've been using, and the shave seemed smoother, too. I tried the aloe and green tea. Pleasant, but not much smell to it.

I got it at SRD, and if I could change anything I would make the tub it comes in a little deeper, or put in a little less. They fill it right to the top.

This particular soap is also good for people like me who like to brush on the soap and then use the brush to whip up a lather right on your face.

I hear ya; I'm a face latherer, and the Proraso is one of the nicest soap/creams I've come across. Thick, creamy lather, great glide, and a nice smell--though I use the menthol/euc formula, which I realize may be an aquired taste.

Since you like the Proraso, you may also want to give one of the Taylor of Old Bond Street creams a try, if you haven't already. I'm using the lime one, and it's pretty much a tie with the Proraso for me, though I suspect the hardness of the Proraso (it really is a soap/cream, rather than one or the other) may make it last a bit longer than the Taylor.
