Art of Shaving Lavender?
I have been using Art of Shaving’s Lavender line for shaving, it is great for my sensitive skin, and it smells absolutely wonderful! The only thing I am not crazy about is the price tag, however I will continue to use it unless something I like better comes along. I was hoping someone here who has used or at least smelled the Lavender might have some ideas of products to try?

I haven't used the lavender but I have used several of the art of shaving products and I'm not too thrilled with them. I tried their unscented shave creme which I thought was ok but I still like either the trumpers or Vulfix better. I tried their aftershave balm but find it really burns I think the vitamin C in it is too much and causes the burning. I tried their pre shave oil but it didn't seem to make any difference in the shave and I tried the rose aftershave toner but find the aroma a little much. Smells like something a woman would use.

I like Vulvix too, and I think it comes in lavender. I use Trumpers lavender and I think Taylors makes a lavender as well. I find that once you find "your" scent you should stick with it.

Yes both Vulfix and Taylors make lavender. You can get
both a classicshaving. I currently have a tub of the
Taylor's and it is quite good. Haven't tried the Vulfix.
DL Harris also makes a lavender.

The Art of Shaving shaving soap retails for about $25.00 all the others mentioned here are much cheaper most retail for around half that price. Can anyone think of anything other than brand name that would make this company so expensive?
Do you think that the companies mentioned here differ in quality or just scent?

I've heard some good things about DR Harris lavender
soap. I currently use the Taylor lavender cream which
is quite good. When I use it up I will probably try the Harris
soap.
Scents are subject to the user, I'm sure someone out there
prefers one brand of lavender (or whatever scent) over another
and vice versa. All you can do is try one. If you stick with one
of the better brand then you probably won't be disappointed
with it's preformance.

Anyone here make their own cup soaps? I've mentioned this before (yahoo board I think) that I make my own soaps. I'm getting to the point where I should probably start a batch and I'm thinking lavender this time.

Thanked: 0vulfix cream
I finally bought a tub of the vulfix shave cream in lavender. I have to say that its the best I have tried and my personal favorite so far ( not to much expierence yet) but of all my soaps which I own 4 different ones, creams I have a tub of ZIRH ( which was horrible, never again) and a tube of GEO F. Trumpers violet (smells too feminine). This Vulfix lathers beautifully and feels like a coat of thick creamy silk. Is there anyone out there thats tried this and can recommend anything else with this consistancy, please let me know. this is the kind of lathering thats right for me, I love it!!
