Thanked: 2Trufitt and Hill Ultimate Comfort shave cream
Hey everybody,
Got to use my T&H sample today. Not with a straight but still. Called Ultimate comfort on the container. This is some good stuff. A dab ull do ya. Put a little dab on my finger and lathered it up. With this little bit I had enough for at least 2 shaves. Lathered up really well. Shaved well also. Aftershave balm is good also. Kinda creamy. Made my face nice and soft. To sum up this stuff is great gonna have to get some more. Didn't really have a distinct smell in the cream or the balm. Can't wait to use my others from T&H.
See yall later

Truefitt and Hill is good stuff. You might have better luck getting a scent if you lather it with a brush. I've found that coming out of a tube, it doesn't smell like much, but when you whip it to a lather, it smells niiiiice.

Thanked: 2Hey Jersey,
I did use a brush to get a lather. The shave cream didn't really have a smell though. Great lather but not much on the aromatic side. On the other hand the after shave balm had kinda of a lingering lotiony smell after I put it on. Not bad though.

The Ultimate is not a scented cream, but hints of lavender come through. I've used my sample once, and I already know that somewhere out there is tub with my name on it!

Thanked: 2I was very suprised by the volume of lather to cream I got. Like I said a dab ul do ya. As soon as this sample runs out Im gonna have to get some more. but I also have the 1805 in the tube to try so I don't know when that will be. There is a good number of shaves in that one little jar. I gotta start small with the 1805. I hope it is the same.

Keaton,
I understand all too well. When my T&H samples arrived, I fell in love (both with the products, and with Brittany-the lovely lady that sent them). I very much enjoyed the UC cream, but the 1805 is still probably my all time favorite cream that I have tried thus far. Did you get a sample of the Classic balm? Much better (IMHO) than the UC balm. I keep only two aftershaves, the T&H Classic and Trumpers Coral Skin Food...neither is cheap, but both are more than worth the cost.
Enjoy the experience.

Thanked: 2Ed,
No she didn't send me the classic balm just the ultimate comfort. I am waiting to use the 1805 with my straight. Which my strop form Tony should be here in a couple days and hones from Tilly should also be here around the same time so I should be set. Still waiting on samples from Trumpers. Hope they get here soon as well. I really don't know about the 1805. Didn't really like the smell of the cologne they sent, but we will see. Maybe the scent will be lighter and more discernable.

The UC shave cream is great stuff. I'd love to use it every day, but as you know its a bit pricey, like all T&H stuff.

jjs,
Price is relative, within reason. Williams Shaving Soap is a buck a puck. Yet, I have numerous soaps that are $4,5 and 10 bucks a puck, or more. I buy them because I like them. The decision is does cost = value. If that is the case, then the item is not pricey. The breakdown becomes is "something overpriced" or is it just "more expensive".

This is my thought also, I like the creams but the soaps last longer.
