Thread: First traditional cream

I ordered a tube of Speick as my first traditional shave cream. It arrived today. I was already shaved but opened the tube expecting floral or manly cedar, spice etc.
Well it threw me for a loop, the first thing that thought of when I smelled it was Bengay. My nose is funny sometimes and only pick up lesser smells than the intended scent. Has anyone else had that initial reaction? I have not lathered it up yet, just curious.

Used speick cream this morning. The jury is out on if I'm a fan (used too much water I think), wife smelled lavender. So it was just my nose, I had her smell the cream and smelled lavender there too. Guess my nose is just weird.

I find the scent to be "herbaceous" - it grew on me. I think the performance is excellent. It's a great cream.
