It's a pretty decent soap especially for the price. Dries the sking and is pretty dry itself though.

If your into creamy lather, this is one good soap. I paid 99 cents CAD in Montréal for a stick. Difficult to beat at this price.

I prefer it to soaps I paid 15 times more for.

    Regards,

Basically, tallow is beef fat: Tallow - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For some strange reason that I cannot understand, people seem to associate tallow with good shaving soaps/creams; the fascination with tallow is unbelievable. Please do not take me wrong, there are indeed very good tallow-based soaps/creams. However, what it is often forgotten or ignored is that when you make soaps/creams by means of saponification, these oils, known as triglycerides, react with a base to form fatty acids and glycerin. What this means is that as long as you keep the fatty acid profile "constant", it really does not matter what fats/oils you add, or even less, where they come from. The only exception is when these oils are used after saponification. In summary, the fats/oils that are saponified do not reach the final product intact and good formulation becomes critical.

This is a great stick for the price, and the cream is good as well if you ever get the chance to try it.
