Crabtree & Evelyn
As I've made abundantly clear, I'm going to Charleston, S.C., in a few days. I did some looking around, and found a Crabtree & Evelyn store there. I have very little experience with razors, and with shops of this type. Would the folks here recommend some products of C&E they particularly like? It's a rare opportunity to go 800 miles from home and see some shops we don't have here, and I want to make the most of it.

Joe,
I use a few of their shave creams and soaps. I like the Sweet Almond Oil in both the hard soap and in the cream. The hard soap is $5 a cake, the cream in the tube (new packaging) is $15 and in the new large glass jar it is $25. They may have it in the older plastic screw top tub and it is only $18.50 for a tad more cream.
Nomad is another nice scent but only available in the newer packaging at $15 and $25.
They have a few nice brushes bearing their own name but made by Edwin Jaegger in the UK. If you buy anything and like it they have an online store as well.

Joe,
Pretty much what Tony said. I also have the Almond shaving cream and hard soap. Add to that their Sienna and their Nomad, both in glass jars. First class products all the way.

Sienna and Nomad are my favorites...In my view, Crabtree & E. produce excellent products.
