Welcome to SRP SuS. Nice to see a first post from a member who is obviously a connoisseur of SC and no doubt an experienced straight razor shaver. Does your appreciation of creams extend to razors and perhaps hones ? I look forward to reading more of your elequant posts.

Hello Gents, this is my first post. What brought me to SRP was all the stuff i was reading about THE BOMB, so I contacted alraz and told him what i wanted. And let me tell you, i am more than impressed. I told him i wanted something like proraso and noxema mixed with some extra menthol! And he delivered just that! The Bomb is now responsible for me not needing my other creams. I have only used it 3 times, but let me tell you, it lathers like a beast! and performs better than all of my creams. He also sent me a matching aftershave balm, that works just as good. I love this stuff, i will be clearing out my creams and replacinng them with more Bombs!! I reccomend this cream! Thank you Alraz for a great product and even nicer and better service!

Thank you, I was brought over here by Doughboy68, Im a member over at b&b, I started with a de, but have since started to dabble in straight razors. And have been visiting this forum to read about restoration tips. i currently have 10 straights they are all hollow grinds. Out of the 10, 5 of them are shave ready, the others im restoring. My favorite shavers so far have been the Imperials. I will post some of my stuff in the restoration section. i recently completed my first 2 restores.

Welcome Nerdman! I guess it's a little too late to warn you of SRAD I'm sure you're going to find a number of extremely talented members here happy to share their tips and tricks in restoration. There is certainly no shortage of great folks here, similar to where you've wandered over from. Oh and you're most definitely right. The bomb is really top notch. I am really kind of bummed in a way. I really wanted to be a soap guy. Unfortunately, Al completely ruined that idea for me

Not to worry. I take it you haven't tried Xpec shaving soap yet.

Actually your post is the first I have heard of it. I immediatly googled the name and found your review. Sounds like good stuff. I just blew my wad on lavender CF cream and aftershave so as soon as my allowance recharges I'll have to give it a go. Thanks

    Awesome!

This is the first time I have ever seen someone joint a forum for a soap......... Bootiful ting and welcome.

I have tried a couple iterations of the Bomb and think it is a very nice soap and definitely is a suds maker. I had talked to Al about the hardness of it and I think he has softened it up a little. I believe he is also using a larger or wider container now as the old one was really hard to get the brush in to load up.

I don't know what it is with this soap, but it feels a little greasy to me yet and although I don't like it as much as Castle Forbes or Caraceni and it will definitely not replace either, it is a good suds maker.

    Have fun,

    Lynn

    comments on da bomb

    1. I find this cream excellent in regards to volume of the lather, and the cushion.
    2. I got the cedar, and I find the scent so faint that i can't smell it. I believe this may be my problem since I need a very powerful scent to to appreciate it. I can smell cf lime and tobs rose. I was advise before I purchased it, that it was mild in smell.
    3. I don't know if I have a small container opening or not, but I find it to be smaller than I like, to load a brush, and have to use a butter knife to apply a small amount to my face, it works good, but not what I like.
    4. I would recommend this cream to anyone who want to have a cream that provides a great shave.
    5. If you like a bold strong scent in your cream, I would pick a different scent that the cedar.
    6. Enjoy
