I don't get on with the silicone types. I find they work well with DE's, but the traditional stuff works better with a straight for me.
How do you usually fare with non traditional formulations?

Hmmm...Reading the backstory, a distinct barnyard aroma found its way into my nose.

So let's see, this man with "skin care in his DNA" went to a remote Japanese village full of old people, and decided that the reason they are all so healthy with beautiful skin is their diet, "which involved a range of plants, vegetables and herbs."

    He's not a scientist, not a dietician, he's the heir to a skin-care company.

    But I digress.

I myself enjoy a Japanese diet, which involves a range of plants, vegetables, and herbs. Most of them Japanese. I wonder how good my skin is?

    Hmph.

I did a little search. The only "Yuzurihara" near Tokyo I could find is a small neighborhood (neighborhoods often have old names, from before they were parts of cities) in Fujioka city, Gunma prefecture. It's on a major highway next to a golf course.

It's also an ONSEN town, meaning that there are tons of hot springs, rich in minerals, that people bathe in. I wonder why he chose the diet, and not the onsen minerals like most beauty care companies do?

Oh yeah, cause then they couldn't put "a proprietary blend of essential oils derived from Japanese herbs" on their package to make it sound all mystical and "Eastern".

You know, I do get sick of people ascribing some kind of mysterious sekrit powah to something by slapping the word "Japanese" on it. Japanese things CAN be pretty darned good, but that's mostly because Japanese craftsmanship is usually topnotch, and consumers tend not to accept crap products...not because of the mystic rituals of Japanese culture.

I take my sake internally. That makes everybody look good, not just me =)

Let us know how it works out, say, in comparison to castle forbes cream.
