Default Tried a new cream today

today i tried a new cream, the first other one it tried since starting to shave with a straight. The main reason for not trying a different cream was that i have a hard time finding quality creams in my area, and i like being able to walk into a brick and motar store to make my purchases. just to support my local economy.

today i used "the body shops" maca root shave cream, and was very impressed with the way it preformed. it started out kinda hard and lumpy but with a few drops of warm water it smoothed right out, i have hard water and i find that the lather i was building with the other cream would tend to dry out and fade a little(if that makes sense). i found my razor glide improved from the other cream, also the feel was better. i also tried proraso pre-sheave cream, so i will have to try with out the pre shave because in my opinion it not a fair test, but i was really impressed with it. now my question is does anyone else find a new product to be better than the last one used, mainly because it's different than the last and it feels different and it is not what your used to?

That was the first real cream I ever used and I still enjoy it to this day. The scent isn't anything remarkable, personally, but it makes a great lather; easy to build and holds moisture for me.

I like soaps now for my face but use the creams to shave my head. I only have four creams (TOBS scents and Proraso) to choose from, but the maca root is my favorite for head shaving because it lasts.

i know what ya mean about the scent, the wife took one smell and said, nope don't like it, but im not one for scents to much, i really have to like it to use it and i find the scent fades fast which is good imo, but evrything else was great.
The first cream i used was tobs sandlewood and i really like that, nothing against it but i think I like the maca root cream just a little better, but opinions are like belly buttons everyone has one. scent wise for me the sandlewood can't be beat

I really like Body Shop Maca Root Shave Cream - much better than the old formula , the soothing and moisturizing quality to me is outstanding and only some of the fantastic Fitjars creams from Norwary can even come close IMO.

Like any product it's a very subjective topic, but think anyone who tried this would agree how well it works.

Also like the fact it can be purchased pretty easily at the many Body Shop stores in most major malls.

It works really well for superlathering with a soap also.
