Edwin Jagger Cream or Soap?
Hello all,
I am going to be placing an order soon with The English Shaving Company, they are running a promotion for free shipping and I want to take advantage of it and get some goodies.
That being said I am looking to order either some Edwin Jagger shaving soap or cream in both the Aloe Vera and the Sea Buckthorn scents. Has anyone out there used both their soaps and creams and could weigh in on which you preferred over the other and why?
I am sure both are great products and I have personally used the SBT cream and enjoyed it thoroughly. Being said I'd like a comparison.
Cheers,
Joshua

I've not used their products, though I've heard good things about the EJ line. But in terms of cream v soap, I find soap gives a little more glide on average and give less lather than creams. Creams give lots more volume of lather, but I find they have slightly less glide to them.
I really like both creams and soaps though, and as long as you lather them well they'll give a great result.
Good luck and keep us posted!

I used the Edwin Jagger sea buckthorn soap last year, it lasted well and no problems lathering in hard water. I prefer creams, my favorites are Trumper's.

I'm currently working through a tub of EJ Sea Buckthorn cream. It produces a very nice thick lather with great slickness and good moisturization. I would not hesitate to recommend it, but I can't honestly compare it to the EJ soap as I've not tried that format...

Edwin Jagger Cream or Soap?
Gentlemen:
I have used a number of Edwin Jagger products, including their soaps and creams, and have yet to be disappointed in their overall quality. Good stuff all. Of course, I prefer the Edwin Jagger double edge razors over all the others. What's more, I have high praise for the English Shaving Company for their service and prices.
Regards,
Obie

I have used the EJ Sea Buckthorn soap for about 6 months now when I make either super or uberlather. I like it. It makes a good lather and is kind to the face.

Thanked: 1I just bought a tube of the EJ Sea Buckthorn cream last week. I have to say I find it pretty good. The scent reminds me somewhat of a weak orangey smell, perhaps mandarin or clementine, not very strong. Overall I think itis well worth the price (£7.75).
