    Roy,

Some of the members on the DE forums have discussed adding the pre-shave oil to their shaving lather. If I were going to use one of the "oils", it would be Pacific Shave Oil. But for now...I'm sticking with Proraso.

Thumbs up Now I've gone and done it!

Yep, went to Target and couldn't contain myself. Bought the Proraso pre-shave, shave cream and after-shave. Most likely the poor old Williams soap will go untouched for some time.
Where is the best place to get the Pacific Shaving Oil mentioned earlier?

Thanks for all the input, ROY

    Pacific Shave Oil

I have a bottle of Pacific Shave Oil, King of Shaves and a product called Shave Secret. I still prefer the Proraso. Apply it and let it sit on your face while you strop your razor. And then re-apply after the shave. On me, the scent fades quickly, but I do get a "pick up" from the chilling effect!

If you are interested I'd get the Pacific Shaving Oil (PSO). I use it for touchup work but I think it is great, especially at $8 a bottle, shipped.

I have used it before lather but mostly use it for touchup w/o lather. Maybe try a mix of castor oil / olive oil (2:1) to imitate the AOS Pre-shave oil if you want something really slick and heavy on your skin underneath the cream.

I don't like the concept of oil on my skin before I lather. Give me proraso anytime.

Agreed. I've tried it and much prefer a nice oil like J.R. Watkins All Natural Body Oil after all of my post-shave routines are done. Proraso pre/post is a great way to start and end a shave.

After the pre/post sinks in after the shave, I apply a light coating of J.R. Watkins All Natural Body Oil to my cheeks and neck. I gently massage it into the skin. It's very nice, not too heavy feeling, and it leaves the skin very soft and feeling revived. I rub whatever is left into my hands, leaving them feeling absolutely great.
