    Default Mixing glycerin soap with hand cream?

    Hi,
    Can I get good lather if I grate a glycerin soap and mix it with hand cream? Thanks.

    I could be wrong, and let me state that I've never tried it before, but I'm fairly certain that hand cream would kill your lather (if using a soap). Hand creams generally have no latherability, so unless you're just using 1 drop it probably wouldn't work. It might work better if using a shave cream though

    Try it out and see if it works for you. Worst case scenario is you have a batch of spoiled lather and you have to make some more.

    Hand cream, no. But try some noxema type cold cream in the blue tub. An old barber told me that was his trick to adding body to cheap hard soaps.

    I just mix the two on my face to good effect.
