    Default www.soaptopia.com

so i was in my local mall today and wandered by a place called soaptopia.. i had never heard of it.. but i figured i'd check it out.. they have a brush for $28 listed a "badger bristle".... and 3 shave soaps which i'm told are exactly the same as their regular soap.. "just made round to fit in the dish"... the cool thing was they had wooden soap containers for $6.. they look very similar to the wooden dishes sold for classicshaving's soap...

i got samples of the soap and will be shaving with it in the morning to see how well it works.. the puck itself is huge and sells for $5..

the negative is when i asked if the soap was glycerin based or tallow or what.. the lady had no idea what i was talking about.. she simply looked at me like i was some sort of freak of a male for even wondering such a thing.

    anyway.. i'll post results tomorrow..

update.. it lathers amazingly well and has loads of cushion... i only have a few slivers and used an entire sliver in one shave though.. i'm guessing a puck wouldn't last that long..

At $5 though is it still worth it?
You said the puck was fairly large.

the puck is seriously 5 inches in diameter and 2 inches thick.. i guess it's not something i'd die over if i didn't get... i'm still waiting for some extra cash to buy a ceramic mwf set.

    Default Bathtize yourself a SOAPTOPIAN...

Wow, a lack luster experience of one of our Personal Hygiene Specialists. I truly appologize on behalf of the entire SOAPTOPIA team.

Our shaving soaps are vegtable oil. They are prcessed cold and super fattied with castor oil, avocado oil, vitamin E, jojoba and macademia nut oil. When creating a shaving soap, we found that adding caster oil (and richer emolliant oils) helps in softening the beard and ensure a better glide with the razor against the skin.

We offer the large "hocky puck" at $5, however we also offer a "half puck" for $2.50 which fits in this groovy wood bowl with lid we found.

The badge brush comes from the UK and we sell them for $26 (some of you may have bought the same brush from one of the other guys at 2-3x the price).

We love what we do, the people we do it for, our planet and each other. I would love you all to give us your faces and see what you think.

Is anyone interested in a internet offer? enJOY, Jolie Chitwood Cox

update! you want to talk about customer service.. i went back to the store to buy the smaller puck.. i talked to a really nice guy named felix.. i told him how i was so very impressed with jolie's posting on straightrazorplace.com and that she'd won me over... so you know what he does? he gives me a full sized puck for free! yes.. free..

i was very impressed with felix and this company.. i went ahead and purchased the wooden dish.. and i'll be purchasing from them again.. soaptopia has earned my money and loyalty.
