    Default The body shop creams.

After reading about some of the creams and soaps I decided to get the shaving cream from The Body Shop as my first cream. Yesterday was my first attempt and while I thought I had a lather I was mistaken. Today after carefully adding little bits of water at a time the cream went from what ever I made the day before and just instantly exploded into a nice (for me) lather.

When I was in The Body Shop I asked about sales and she told me on Aug 30th through Sep 15 it is buy 3 get 2 free, buy 2 get 1 , and buy 1 get 1 half off. Just thought I would give people a heads up if they like the Body Shop's creams.

Personally I rank their Maca Root shave cream above TOBS... Longer lasting, smoother lather. And I like the clean, mild scent.

Thanks for posting this. I'm really limited in my choice of shaving creams. Good to know about the comparison to TOBS as that's the other main option I have, but that one is horribly expensive here as they're trying to position it as a luxury product.

Both the Body Shop cream and The Real Shaving Company cream are the equal of any of the Three Ts. Seeing as how they're made by the same people (Creighton's), not surprising...

i got a sample of the body shop's "of a man" cream.. it was very nice.. and yes.. i would say it was just as good if not more luxurious than tobs.. lathered very easily too.

    The Three Ts?

    1. Taylor of Old Bond Street
    2. ?
    3. ?

Or is 'the Three Ts' a single company which just happens to have three Ts in its name?

Also, just to clarify that last line: You're not saying that Creighton's makes the shaving creams for The Body Shop, The Real Shaving Co., and the Three Ts, are you?

the three T's being taylor's of olde bond street, trumpers, and trufitt and hill..

as far as i know they are all individual companies who produce their own product.. but i have also heard that both real shaving co. and the body shop creams are made by one and the same.. i haven't used real shaving co. products.. but they are said to be identical to the body shop creams.

    hope that helps.

The body shop cream is made by the makers of the real shaving co, when the body shop reformulated to the new cream and stopped selling the old cream, the real shaving co brought out a tub of "limited edition" cream here in the uk, which was in fact, the old body shop shaving cream, which was priced around £7, the real shaving co threrw this in a tub and sold it for a £1, i am currently using this in my rotation and its wonderfull stuff, one of the best i have used so far, i have a tub of the new body shop cream for future use as well.
