    Once again, I disagree with the apparent consensus. In general I find that if I have added too much water, then the lather I produce is thinner and will tend to dry out faster. Try building your lather more gradually by adding only small amounts of water at a time as it builds.

    +1 to this. I found that my lather was drying out quickly and it was in fact because I was adding too much water. Go figure.

    As far as Tabac goes, it is my favorite soap and I have actually never experienced drying out with Tabac. With MWF and others....yes, but never with Tabac. To me, Tabac gives the most balanced lather. As already stated, adding more water is not only the answer. I like to experiment with different soaps, even when I am not shaving. Yes, I have too much time on my hands!

    Either way, Tabac is my favorite soap. I love the scent/70's retro design.
