Default Made my first shaving soap

After a lot of reading up on it, I made my first soap.
It wasn't bad, but there was to much air in the soap when I made it so the lather was kind of airy.
But I will say the stuff had crazy glide, and I better then a few soaps I had paid for, albeit not a lot.

I will keep everyone informed and when I have one that works and I like, I would love to send some of you guys samples to get feedback.

One of the things I love about this site is the willingness of it's members to learn how to do things like this.

Good for you - and keep letting us know how your batches come out.

Making soap is really exciting, congratulations! My experience is that some soaps that do not produce very thick lather are exceptionally slick. I can appreciate slickness in a soap. One thing I can tell you is that some of the slickness can go away when you get more cushion, balance is key. Keep us informed of your progress.

Very fun. I hope you enjoyed the process as much as you enjoy your soap.
I will humbly offer my face as a testing ground.

Where did you see the messages about making your own soap. I had a look today under "How to make your own soap" and seemed to get every hit on soap.
