    Default Pre De Provence

Anyone heard of this soap? Got it for Christmas, lathered great and made a great shave, had just a slight sting to it like it had menthol in it or something.

it's my main go to soap right now and love it..

no menthol here.. but i do get some serious moisturizing from pre de provence..

i thoroughly enjoy a superlather with pre de povence and the body shop's maca root cream.

Love it - my main soap - I think it has sage in it.

    Default Pre de Provence

    Hello, JT:

Pre de Provence has a subtle floral fragrance and lathers well. It comes in both soap and cream. I have it in rotation with my other soaps and creams. Good stuff.

    Regards,

    lots of shea butter.

I find it worked better when I took it out of the tin and put it in an anchor hocking bowl that gave me more room (width diameter) to work my brush.
Secret: you can mill it with speick stick for a killer combo.

    loueedacat,

+1 on the previous posts. Pre de Provence is one of the shaving soaps in my rotation as well. It s a bit like Mitchell's Wool Fat. It has shea butter, as opposed to lanolin, in the formulation to serve as a moisturizer.

As for combining it with Speick...Why not? Try it out and report back to us about what the results are.
