    Default Old Dominion Soap Company

I decided to try out some soap from Old Dominion Soap Company as I like to support local business as much as possible. I read on the website that they have a thin lather and I'm currently using a junk brush while I think about what kind of brush to try next, so that may be part of my problem, but the lather I got was super thin. It was super slick and I got the smoothest shave I've had in the week I've been using a straight razor .

Anyone else have any experience or tips with using this stuff?

It's the olive oil based stuff. I think I might try grating it up to see if it lathers better. I'm too cheap to just ditch it without a fight.

You can get a tub of Proraso from classicshaving.com for about $8.95 if you're looking for something inexpensive. It lathers nicely and the eucalyptus/menthol combo feels great
