Anthony Logistics
Has anyone used products from this company? On one of my first shaves I used the shave cream and it seemed to dry quickly and flake off of my face. I haven't used it since but I may try again now that I'm getting a little better with later creation.
The oil, face soap, etc. seem to work great but I was wondering if someone more experienced could tell me how the shave cream compares.

Thanked: 1195I've never even heard of this product before, let alone tried it, but if your lather is flaking off your face it's a sure sign that your lather is too dry (as in not hydrated enough). Try slowly adding more water to your lather to see if it improves the performance...

Thanked: 6I only have experience with their cream which I liked. It's got a nice, light minty smell to it.Really nice mixed with proraso in the summer time. While it's not the best I've ever used, it's nicely priced and does a good job for the money. I think once you find it's sweet spot, you'll enjoy it.

thanks all for your input! I'll try to give an update on the cream once I feel more comfortable with my judgement and technique

I used their products in the past. They're not bad at all as far as skin care goes. I believe that a portion of their profits go to prostate cancer research.
I haven't used their shaving cream since I began de Razor and straight razor shaving, however."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain

It does go to cancer research and from what I can tell they seem to be very dermatologist friendly... if that's a thing. There's very few if any chemicals in their products and they have great smells and feels to them.
The face cleanser, scrub, shave cream, and face lotion are all great as far as I can tell. I got this as a gift back when I used my disposables and just got around to trying the cream with my straights.
I can't tell much about the quality. As of now I prefer my Body Shop (macca root) shave cream but the Anthony gives a nice minty tingly feeling, I think I'd like it much better if I could make the later a little better.

I use Anthony Logistics shave cream. Not a bad price at $16.50 for a 6 oz (170g) tube either. It lathers very well with my art of shaving brush. It has a light mint scent to it and it does give a cooling sensation when shaving. The back of the bottle does have a blue ribbon saying that part of the proceeds goes towards prostate cancer research and it also says that its allergy tested (and that the product has never been tested on animals).
I agree with ats200 on the dermatologist friendly comment.
here are some of the ingredients:
stearic acid
lauric acid
myristic acid
palmitic acid
water
purified potassium hydroxide
glycerine
ether propionate
aloe leaf juice
goldenseal extract
licorice extract
peppermint leaf extract
eucalyptus extract
then some vitamins (like ascorbic acid, vitamin A, etc)
it also has hops in it...yeah...hops...as in beer.
overall, i like it.

Does it still suggest not to drink it in the ingredient listing (after hops)? I think my 2007 tube of unscented (smells lightly of peppermint) leaves a little whitish residue on my strop if I don't take care to give it an extra post-shave wash with some other soap.

^lol...yeah, the tube says not to drink [the shaving cream] after it lists hops.
