Ebay shave soap sellers
Has anyone here bought any of the hand/home made shave soaps. Some of them have great prices and shipping. They sound good but figured I would ask here to see if anyone has had experience with any of them and what did you think?

I've had good and bad experiences with ebay purchases. Will G made an excellent soap. He shut down for knee surgery, or something similar, and next it was announced that he had terminal cancer. I bought some Old Spice scented soaps from artifactsoapworks, and all I got from them was foam, no lather. I used one for a bath soap and one for an air freshener in the car. There is soap on ebay called Pirates Cove, I can't find it tonight, but I have heard good things about it.

so far I've had only one experience and that was a bad one. Don't buy any shavesoap from"The Soap Lady of Oregon." (soaplador ebayname) Good soap, just not good shave soap.

I was looking for the Will G soap also but saw he was gone. There were like 3 different soaps that I found I was interested in but I am going to wait to see if anyone else chimes in.

Thanked: 2there is a seller called "shippingisextra" who actually ships free to the USA. He has nice soaps, I used to give out free samples with my shaving brushes, but his customer service was the pits. MY customers who got FREE samples of his soap that I PAID FOR, came back and complained about his service. I ended up ordering a bunch of soaps and sending them to my customers that he wouldn't/couldn't/overcharged. I haven't dealt with him due to the hassles, but I believe that if you're in the USA he ships free, with little problem.
I was buying his soaps and including small pucks with my brushes, simply because they were good soaps. It cost me about 0.50$ per puck. I had an overseas customer get in touch with me because he wanted to buy some of the soaps, based on the free samples her received. The seller wanted $20 to ship one single 4oz bar of soap. Acting as a middle man, I bought and shipped this customer 8 bars of soap, overseas, for less than $20. It seems he clearly operates as a hobby, not a business, and isn't interested in really marketing his stuff.
I also had trouble with the size of the soaps, too. The 4 oz bars would be 3 oz sometimes. sometimes they would be a little big too, but mostly smaller than noted.
the soaps are quite good though and for the price of about $3 per puck, a solid glycerine shave soap.

I think mamabear sells her shave soap on eBay and, well, that stuff is fantastic.

I find the Honeybee shaea butter shaving soaps to be exceptional in all aspects and they leave my face feeling great. The also have a variety of excellent scents to choose from and at an exceptional price.

Thanks for the reply. I actually bought some of the honeybee soaps and I thought the scent was horrible but it gave a really nice shave. For example I got a lemon-lime one that made me think more of sweet cookies than lemon or lime. I got 2 others from a sample pack but never used them because I disliked the scent so much.
Great lather and smooth shave but poor scent. Just my opinion.

Thanked: 0I was very pleased with the scents I got which were the Very sexy for men, Old Spice, and I the Dakkar which I especilly liked. I'm not much of a fan of lime. What other scents did you get so that I know for future reference. I relalize our preferences my differ, but I'll put the scents you tried at the bottom of the list of ones I would like to try.
