I use it when traveling as it is best used (imho) as suggested brushless and only a little bit is required so a tube last a long time, it provides a great beyond super slick surface but no cushioning used as directed. Make sure you wash your hands before holding your straight razor.
It also works quite well making super lather.
They changed the scent the original scent was a coconut scent while the new scent is a citrus type scent.

The only shaving product I have ever thrown in the trash. Does not lather with a brush, didn't care for the smell, even tried it as a pre-shave rubbing it in my beard. I'm not a fan.

i'd be willing to try the citrus scent.. it is to be used brushless and sometimes i like to keep it simple and avoid the brush.. not often.. but occasionally..
it is a good product for just that.. occasionally.. not something you'd want as your daily go to product.

Thanked: 30I bought some about two years ago and tossed it. The scent reminds me of children's aspirin (fake orange scent) and it is a brushless cream. If the site that sold it had mentioned that it was brushless, I never would have purchased it in the first place.

I have tried it and didn't care for it by its self at all. But not wanting to trash it I used it to uberlather with vdh and williams and got tons of nice creamy lather out of it that way.
