Colonial Drug in Cambridge MASS
Walking around Cambridge, I passed this storefront and noted the soaps and brushes in the window. Colonial Drug is marketed as a place to buy "hard-to-find-fragrances" but it carries a boatload of shave soaps and creams. I left with some Castle Forbes (Scotland), and pucks of Kent and Bath House Spanish Fig & Nutmeg (both from the UK). Never tried these soaps...has anyone used them?
Anyway, this shop was a neat find. Usual Disclaimer (e.g., I have no interest in the business and know none of its owners).

Good find. Castle Forbes has quite a following here on SRP, so some of our members can give you some feedback

The Kent is probably re-labeled MWF.
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.

Colonial Drug sells Plisson shaving brushes too. Good place to stay out of if you want to save money. I've bought an HMW from them. IIRC Cathie is the go to person for brushes.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

They had some spectacular and expensive Plissons
I'll figure out tomorrow if the Kent is MWF. The puck is thick but smaller diameter, not that size is dispositive of the source.Last edited by jleeg; 03-07-2011 at 02:55 AM.

Yes, the Kent is indeed MWF (if not manufactured by Mitchell's then it is a knock-off).
