Wayne, I am sure it will be a beautiful store, but the average Joe will probably get sticker shock when he walks in the door. I think you have to valet to park your car at that mall.

I haven't been out there to see it myself, when I was there in feb it was coming soon. My Fiancee was there a few weeks ago and said it was open. I would just check theartofshaving.com or call.

I thought the same when I went into the new store here in Baton Rouge. Shaving soap is about $30, after shave balm is about $35, the razors (straights) are re-branded Dovo or TI. Prices on them are about average. The manager told me that they're owned by Gillette.

The store is styled like a Victorian era barber shop and very attractive. It has a barber shop that does a straight razor shave. Whether it's with a straight or a Feather, I don't know.
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.

I got this directly from The Art of Shaving's website. "The face is shaved with a traditional Straight Razor, using a disposable blade."

This is for the Traditions Shave. It does not mention what is used for the Royal Shave but I believe that one can assume that it is the same.

Yes in either case it's a disposable blade. They are required to use them for health reasons. Otherwise they would have to autoclave each blade after use. Also I assume it's a convenience issue as well. They're lazy and wouldn't want to go through the trouble of honing and stroping.
