Trumper's creams and soaps
Gentlemen,
I'm almost finished with my Trumper's sample pack (the creams, anyway) and am considering buying one of their product in either Limes or Rose scent.
However, I'm not sure if I will go with a soap or cream, so I was wondering if the scents are the same in either form.

I've only used both of the limes, but the soap smells more like a clean soap to me; the cream is more lime-like. It's not as strong as CF, but has a really nice quality all its own. Both as I recall produce really nice lather, but I prefer the cream--I love that scent actually!

Thanked: 6I have the cream and soap as well.
To me, they have the same scent...the cream is just more potent.
I get great results with both products.
I really enjoy the Eucris soap too.

Thanked: 190Life is short, consider buying both and have fun with both of them. I enjoy having a variety of soaps and creams and use them all.

Trumper's creams and soaps
Hello, Fred:
I have used both Trumper's soap and cream, although I no longer have the soap. If I remember, the fragrance is similar, but the intensity is a touch stronger in the cream.
Either way, Trumper's rose is a delight. Although I love soaps, if I were to choose, in this case I would opt for the cream.
Regards,
Obie

Odd timing, I just got my shipment of Trumpers travel size creams last night. I've only tried out the Coconut Oil one (so good), but i smelled all the others and they were all just as nice.

today I tried the Violet. I must say Lathers easily.
The smell is really good!
Now the rest of the sample pack to try.
Pfff.... why my beard grows so slowly, I want to shave more often.

Thanked: 1195As our friend Obie said, it's very common that creams will have a more intense scent than soaps, even with the same fragrance. So much that I'd even say it's the rule more than the exception. Therefore it comes down to personal preference; do you like the lather from a cream or a soap?

I love both of the Lather whether from soap or cream.
But I'm actually a soap guy, but lately I'm trying the cream, I bought samples and must say there are creams that are very good.
The smell as the Lather of these creams that are quite ok.(There's one in there that I would buy .....so far)
So far I have tried this:
Castle Forbes Lime <smells great and very great Lather. really explodes in your bowl.
Really what i expect from a cream.
Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet <bit disappointing, especially because this is one of the more expensive creams. I had expected more of this cream, but give him another chance. Maybe more water or so.
Trumper violet <Super violet smell that is very close to the scent of the real flower comes.
Lather not explode as the Castle Forbes, but eventually he also gets a big 7
E-shave lime vebena< Great lime smell and makes nice Lather
Saint Charles< Lather no good. Much water or little water, very disappointing to me this is not working for me.
I must still try my Castle Forbes Lavender sample and the rest of the Trumperts sample package.(5to go)Last edited by kalerolf; 04-02-2011 at 04:31 AM.
